Receptionist/General Duties

About the opportunity

We need volunteers to greet members of the public, answer the phone, chat to people, filing, and manning the reception desk. Basic computer skills would help but are not essential.

Volunteering opportunities at the Priorswood Community Centre are varied. Volunteers can take on as many or as few tasks as they feel able to do.

We are a very friendly Community Centre and the role would suit anyone that wants to get out and meet other people and feel part of the wider community. Age is not a barrier as we offer volunteering opportunities for anyone, our volunteers at present range from 14 to 86.
We are looking for someone to cover any morning Monday to Friday between 9.30am – 12.30pm

What we are looking for?

This person should be friendly, sociable; good interpersonal skills and have a good telephone manner.

• Community
• The elderly
• Families

• Administration

The Priorswood Community Centre was set up in 1998 to help young families.

We identified a need for help for all residents and have since moved forward to offer help, support, guidance and advice to ALL residents, who need it, in the North Taunton area.

All the money we raise from our bric-a-brac, book sales and the events we run, is put back into keeping the Community Centre open.
