The Jubilee Garden was opened on 2nd June 2012
and it is lovely to see it being used by so many people.

The Jubilee Garden is a project that has been undertaken by the North
Taunton Partnership, the charity that oversees the day to day running of the Priorswood Community Centre.

The Community Centre have been issued with a lease for the garden area by Taunton Deane Borough Council who have granted us full use, the Council have not funded the project it is totally a community initiative.

What was here before our project began

We feel that this is a positive addition to the area making it more attractive and friendly, offering seating and a calm and reflective space for local residents to rest socialise and enjoy watching the garden grow and change with the seasons. The whole area is covered by CCTV and will be closely looked after by the volunteers and staff from the Community Centre, if you have any concerns or questions you would like answered please feel free to pop in or ring 353643 or email;

The Priorswood Community Centre was set up in 1998 to help young families.

We identified a need for help for all residents and have since moved forward to offer help, support, guidance and advice to ALL residents, who need it, in the North Taunton area.

All the money we raise from our bric-a-brac, book sales and the events we run, is put back into keeping the Community Centre open.
